Ready to Help you Change Your Life “WrightNow”

Empowerment Coach, Spiritual Healer and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Shinique "Charli" Wright received her Bachelor's degree in Evolutionary Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University. She then acquired her MA Degree from Drexel University in Marriage and Family Therapy. Charli has over fourteen years of experience in behavioral health work and the mental health field.

Charli is trailblazing a path of understanding that, like any other system, the system of a human person is made up of at least three parts: Mind, Body, and Spirit. If any of these fail to function correctly, the whole system stands to fall apart.

With that understanding, Charli works to connect with people through a wholistic, culturally competent, and empathetic lens. This connection enables her to coin the term "Self-Love Guru."

Being a woman of African-American descent, Charli has first-hand experience with how the influences of larger oppressive systems can suppress the growth of one's inner being. At age 3, she was scouted by a former Olympic coach, He trained her for years until family dysfunction led to the divorce between her parents. Having to move to Philadelphia due to the divorce and no longer having her father as a supportive coach both in the gym and at home, she struggled in her transition to the new city and pursuing her gleaming gymnastic career. A new gym environment that hosted itself on racism, led to Charli’s love for the sport to dwindle. She stepped off the mat for a few years until she returned at age 13. That same year she returned to the mat, her team went to nationals, and she placed in the top 20 in the nation, after a 3-year hiatus.  But her struggles with family dynamics and systemic racism, coupled with trauma played too big a part in her which lead to suppressed emotions and loss of interest in what she did best. She retired as a gymnast and began coaching other gymnasts for a decade before she set her sights on becoming a therapist.

In some of her darkest moments, she pursued the understanding that the power of self love has greater power over any system large or small. Through the journey of self-love, she also found that the powerful energy of healthy emotional expression  can enhance the creation of one’s own life, enlightenment and eliminate the gripping negative energy of fear. At WrightNOW Counseling, Charli created a system for those from all walks of life to be assisted and embraced as they take their journey into self-love.

Charli is the founder and CEO of WrightNOW Counseling and creator of the internet talk series 'Sex Talk with Charli.' Her series focuses on a holistic perspective on all things love, sex, and relationships. As the expert consultant for mental health and relationships, Charli has been on numerous speaking panels, podcasts, and talk shows. These include but are not limited to: CBS This Morning; National News, Let's Talk Love and Life talk show series and Making A Change Group Live Broadcast.

There is a scientific understanding that the only way to heal properly is to accept your problems, set intentional goals, and begin to facilitate a sustained change. This understanding creates paths to breaking transgenerational patterns and creates overall healing to the whole system of ourself.

WrightNOW Counseling was made with the inspiring slogan that it is always "The Wright Time for Change." Because it always is.
